Our on-farm poultry abattoir is now open for business!
After much anticipation, the White Oak Pastures team is proud to announce that the poultry abattoir is ready to begin processing birds. We are the only farm in the United States that has both a beef and chicken abattoir on the property. There is only one other beef farm in the country that has a USDA-inspected on-farm processing facility, located in California. We have the only on-farm poultry processing facility in the states of Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, and Mississippi. The uniqueness of these two enormous investments demonstrates our family’s commitment to our program. We have chosen to walk the walk. To learn more about our abattoirs, click here.
We celebrated the opening of the new facility on August 24th with good friends, good food (with special visits from Jim 'n Nick's Bar-B-Q and Scott's Bar-B-Q), and great music (performed by the Mosier Brothers). Visit our Facebook page for pictures of the event!
