“Dependence
on agriculture knows no boundaries. Urban or rural, wealthy or poor,
young and old —agriculture is the lifeline that supports us all. An
understanding of agriculture is important to every citizen. The
economic well-being of our society is dependent on agriculture to
supply an affordable, safe and abundant food supply as well as clothing
and shelter, and plants, animals and natural resources for recreation,
companionship and aesthetic value.”
"Governor
Sonny Perdue has proclaimed March 15-21, 2009
as Georgia Agriculture Week. We encourage
each of you to reflect upon the tremendous impact agriculture has on
our lives. Knowledge of agriculture is important for informed consumers
and for the continued economic success of our state and for
environmental stewardship.”

Agricultural Advisory Committee
