Tour White Oak Pastures
You have an open invitation to visit White Oak Pastures.
We are fiercely proud of what we do at White Oak Pastures and believe farms and food companies should operate with full transparency. We invite you to come see our work, meet our family, dine with us, and spend the night on our farm.
We produce cattle, sheep, goats, swine and poultry with regenerative holistic production practices. We have a Certified Organic vegetable garden, pastured egg operation, and offer classes for soap making, hide tanning, beekeeping, seeding, mushroom cultivation, butchering meat, and canning and preserving. We are one of the only farms in the United States that have both red meat and poultry abattoirs located on our farm.
We encourage all of our customers to know how their food is produced. The ultimate commitment to understanding a food system is to visit it. You are welcome to join us for one of our tours. If you would like to see the processing abattoirs in production, please be sure to schedule your tour on a Monday-Friday.
As this is a true working farm, we suggest you dress appropriately in boots and weather-protective apparel.
Monday-Friday Walking Tour: This guided tour will take you on a historical walk of Bluffton to our farm classroom space, where the educational portion includes information about the transition of White Oak Pastures from an industrial cattle farm, to the regenerative agriculture model it is today. Tour will also include a trip to our farm Makerspace, where guests will learn about our leather workshop/tallow kitchen/hide-barn pet chew operations.
Saturday Walking Tour: A walking tour is given each Saturday at 11:00 AM. Cost is $15 per person with no reservation needed. The tour will leave from our General Store located at 101 Church Street, Bluffton, GA 39824.
Lodging: White Oak Pastures is proud to offer overnight lodging to our guests. There are four one-bedroom cabins, nestled in longleaf pines. Need more space?
