You are in for an extra-sweet treat with this workshop! Our beloved, third-generation beekeeper tends many hives here at White Oak Pastures. We are so proud of him, our hard-working pollinators, and the award-winning honey they produce!

Spend a day at our farm learning beekeeping basics, touring our farm in Bluffton, and learning how we do what we do here. A memorable afternoon with Luis will provide insights into honey harvesting and the delicate craft of keeping bees without chemical inputs or aids. There will be classroom time as well as interactive time at the hives. You will not want to miss this exceptional, informative experience! Whether you have bees already, want bees, or simply care about our fragile pollinator populations: this workshop will be a day well spent!

If your travel plans include flying, please note that the closest airports to our farm are a bit too far for ride sharing services such as Uber or Lyft. We recommend making arrangements for a rental car to ensure you have adequate transportation.

Please Note! *Event ticket purchases are final, and cannot be refunded. However, we know life can get in the way! Please contact us if you need to cancel your participation in an event that you previously purchased tickets for. We will be happy to credit your money for a future farm visit, in the form of a credit in the General Store towards food/merchandise, lodging, or towards another event.

Our educational classes and workshops are not geared for small children, unless otherwise specified. As a general rule, a child under ten is not able to participate, due to safety concerns. If you would like to purchase an adult-priced ticket for a teenager, you may do so with the understanding that we usually recommend our educational opportunities for those 18 years old and up.
