Lodging At White Oak Pastures

On-farm cabin available for rental that is situated on a pond

Stay with us: Radically Traditional Farming

You have an open invitation to visit our farm.

We are fiercely proud of what we do at White Oak Pastures, so we invite you to come to see our work, meet our family, and spend the night in one of our on-farm accommodations in South Georgia. We like to describe this feeling as A Bold Return to Giving a Damn.

Conscious consumers want to know how their food is produced, and we believe farms and food companies should operate with full transparency.

People from all over the world visit our farm, but accommodations in the region can be inconvenient or severely limited. That's why we offer four cozy cabins, a Pond House, and three houses in downtown Bluffton to stay in as you explore South Georgia and enjoy our farm.

Looking for a stay in your RV? Check out our new RV park, just off Highway 27!

  • White Oak Pastures is a real, live working farm. This means that depending on which accommodation you choose, you may be driving on a dirt road to get there. You may wake up to cattle, sheep and goats, hogs, or poultry roaming just outside of your door. And although we do our best to make our accommodations free of any uninvited guests, you may also occasionally encounter bugs (who are trying to enjoy life in the countryside, just like you).
  • You can dine and shop in downtown Bluffton. Our General Store offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and you can stock up on everything from bug spray to snacks for the road.
  • Some of our cabins do not have TV or Wi-Fi. We find most of our guests actually enjoy this change of pace as a “digital detox” from busy everyday life. We hope you will disconnect from your devices and connect with nature. Don’t worry: if your cabin does not include it, free Wi-Fi is available at our General Store.
  • Our on-farm accommodations are certainly pet friendly! We do ask that dogs are kept on leashes while out exploring the farm because we do have guard dogs that roam and protect our herds and flocks from sharp tooth predators. There are a couple of places on the walking tour such as the processing abattoirs that we cannot allow pets.
  • There’s plenty to do in South Georgia. You can stay busy with a tour of our farm, local hikes, and visits to other local tourist attractions. We provide custom maps and are happy to make recommendations for local attractions when you plan your visit. We also host a variety of on-farm events and workshops. View our event calendar linked below.

The Pin Oak house is a welcoming mid-century ranch with enough room to accommodate a large family or group of friends. Located downtown on the main thoroughfare only 3/10 of a mile from our General Store and steps away from the Weston C. Lee Veterans Park. The park honors the memory of Army Ranger 1st Lt. Weston Cecil Lee, a native of Bluffton, who sacrificed his life while serving his country in Mosul, Iraq.

The park has a playset for children, and adults may utilize their grill skills to cook some farm fare! Not a chef? No worries! Our General store serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week!

As you first arrive, you are welcomed by a large covered porch with strands of Edison lights, seating, and a grill. Once you enter the home, you find yourself in a game room with a Ping-Pong table, poker chips, cards, and plenty of board games to keep everyone entertained for hours!

A full-sized kitchen with cookware, plateware, Keurig, oven, stovetop, and refrigerator. There is an open pantry for staples and storage and a washer and dryer. The kitchen flows into the eight-seated dining area with a backyard view. The den is an open area with an "L" shaped couch and plenty of seating and lounging space.

The Master bedroom has a king-size bed and private bath, while each of the two bedrooms have two queen-size beds. The full Mid-Century bathroom is shared.

The Pin Oak House will house eight guests. There are no steps to enter the house, but there is one step to enter the kitchen. This house is recommended for families and is our largest lodging option. The Pin Oak House sits on one acre.
