Goats, like sheep and cattle, are ruminant animals, but unlike sheep and cattle, they tend to be forest creatures. They prefer to eat woody plant species. If you woke up to find cattle, sheep and goats in your yard, the cattle would be eating your lawn, the sheep would be eating your flowers, and the goats would be eating your bushes. For this reason we graze the goats in the forests of White Oak Pastures, along with our hogs. These two species work best living in a symbiotic relationship with each other. Our cattle never receive antibiotics, added growth hormones or steroids.
Our goats are Certified Grassfed by the American Grassfed Association and Ecological Outcome Verified in the Land2Market program. All of our livestock are raised without the use of antibiotics, steroids and added growth hormones.
