White Oak Pastures is thrilled to welcome back professional herbalist and forager Leslie Williams!
Join us for a day at the farm, where Leslie will lead participants on a foraging expedition. After a homemade, farm-to-table lunch, Leslie will spend the afternoon demonstrating methods and recipes for using herbs at home with brewing concoctions, tinctures, and teas. The day will be an interactive mix between outdoor and indoor instruction on all things herbal. Don’t miss this quick-to-sellout workshop we proudly offer each spring!

"One of my grandfathers raised watermelons and peanuts in north Florida, and taught me to fish and to plow with a horse. The other grandfather raised cattle on a couple thousand acres of woods, creeks and prairie in northern Florida. I learned the names of trees and rode a quarter horse. We grew a lot of our food and foraged a lot more. I still do that, and I make medicines from the bark and weeds that grow near me. I have a master's degree from the University of Ga in community education and am a Registered Herbalist with the American Herbalist Guild. I am a certified bicycle mechanic. I've lived in many places, lived off the grid, cut firewood and canned a lot of peaches. Georgia is home and I've always returned. This land will take care of us if we learn the skills to let it."

If your travel plans include flying, please note that the closest airports to our farm are a bit too far for ride sharing services such as Uber or Lyft. We recommend making arrangements for a rental car to ensure you have adequate transportation.
Please Note! *Event ticket purchases are final, and cannot be refunded. However, we know life can get in the way! Please contact us if you need to cancel your participation in an event that you previously purchased tickets for. We will be happy to credit your money for a future farm visit, in the form of a credit in the General Store towards food/merchandise, lodging, or towards another event.
Our educational classes and workshops are not geared for small children, unless otherwise specified. As a general rule, a child under ten is not able to participate, due to safety concerns. If you would like to purchase an adult-priced ticket for a teenager, you may do so with the understanding that we usually recommend our educational opportunities for those 18 years old and up.
